We have been requested to replaced a call manager environment that is way beyond end of life... The objective is to simply replace the existing voice system with NO additional functionality.
Relatively small environment - not more than 70 users so we are recommending:
2921-V ISR
UCS E160D M2
BE6S-PRI-M2-K9
We are uncertain if LIC-CUCM-10X-ESS-A is required or if all call manager licensing is included in BE6S-PRI-M2-K9
Please could someone clarify this as it appears that these lcenses are for Jabber only?

Licensing is always separate. ESS is for analog users and 3905/6901 phone. If the current customer is under support then no licensing is needed, otherwise you can order migration licensing and there is options to move to CUWL even if you don't intend to deploy the features today because migration licensing is aggressive for existing Cisco UC customers
