Read your latest complete VNI forecast (updated on June 7th 2016). I had a question regarding the service provider networks capacity to handle the IP traffic growth you're predicting. Are the networks in position to carry the vast amounts of traffic coming down the pike?

Answer:
The Cisco VNI is an independent thought leadership effort, and we have specifically refrained from making capacity measurements or projections in our studies. Some media/analysts might misconstrue capacity statements from us as leading statements regarding product shipments or as a self-serving effort to promote the company’s solutions (which is not our intent).
Our model and methodology is based on end user devices and by application consumption, hence the scope of our work does not include capacity modeling. We don't forecast capacity as a whole or by individual operators. However, ACG research is an independent telecom research firm that has been tracking capacity trends. They may be able to offer some quantitative perspectives on potential capacity issues.
