Can you please comment on how is the growth in global IP traffic impacting the cross-border traffic patterns?

Answer:

Traffic reported in the VNI studies is the sum total of all traffic on domestic access lines. There are multiple factors influencing international traffic so it is difficult to draw any conclusions about international bandwidth requirements based on VNI traffic data. There is an analyst firm that tracks Internet bandwidth connected across international borders and country-to-country (domestic routes are excluded) traffic in great detail: Telegeography.
