Hi team I am using sandboxapic.cisco.com to test the API's and path trace always dies. Looks like its taking to long to complete. Any way to speed this up to demonstrate this via the API?

Thanks,

Graham

it is because there are no real devices behind this controller.  Stats will not work either (unfortunately)

Still, it is a great tool to learn about the API

can you try again now?  I cleaned up a bunch of old ones.

Thanks but unfortunately same issue. Tries to run but eventually times out.

GET task with taskId status:  200

Response from GET /task/taskId:

{

    "response": {

        "progress": "Calculating sub path Segment Number 2",

        "lastUpdate": 1468956200406,

        "rootId": "cd8a6984-3e24-4901-9918-b97de2552e00",

        "serviceType": "Policy Analysis Service",

        "startTime": 1468956200018,

        "isError": false,

        "version": 1468956200406,

        "id": "cd8a6984-3e24-4901-9918-b97de2552e00"

    },

    "version": "1.0"

}

No routing path was found. Please try using different source and destination !

Try " 212.1.10.20" as your destination.

There are no real devices behind that controller, so not all valid path traces will work.

65.1.1.86  -> 212.1.10.20

Thanks that worked!!!

Agree!!!!! Are there other pod in Devnet which actually have really devices behind them? Thanks!!!

yes.  there are other sandboxes with real devices.  https://developer.cisco.com/site/devnet/sandbox/  for all the options

sandboxapic.cisco.com is just a free-always-on test controller.
