Hi,

From release notes http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-1/release_notes/ise21_rn.html#pgfId-620674 it says "If you are upgrading to Release 2.1 on an ESXi 5.x server, you must upgrade the VMware version to 11 before you can select RHEL 7 as the Guest OS”

From https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2007240 it says that version 11 only support ESXi 6.0.

My question is, can you please confirm that it is possible to upgrade to version 2.10 in 5.5 choosing RHEL 7 and hardware version 10 ?

YEs, ESXi 5.5 with virtual hardware version 10 and RHEL 7 would do.

You may follow VMware Compatibility Guide on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x for ESXi. ISE 2.1 works fine with virtual hardware versions 8, 9, 10, and 11 with either RHEL 6 64-bit or RHEL 7 64-bit chosen as the operating system. We do recommend to choose higher VM version and RHEL 7 64-bit, if available.
