Questions about PNP after getting updates & configs.

So far I'm loving the concept of PNP and enjoying testing the APIC-EM server we have setup.  Especially since I have a large deployment to complete by March 1. After a switch has been upgrade and config loaded via PNP.  What happens when the switch is in production and config changes happen over time to the switch?  If the switch reboots for what ever reason will it connect back to PNP and download the initial config it was given during project planning and over wright the config it had with changes? Once a switch has been configured with PNP does it need to be removed from the Project?  What is the overall workflow process idea with PNP?

Hi Jason,

glad you are enjoying using PnP.

Short answer to your question.  Today, PnP is a one-off event.

Once the device has been deployed, it will not be deployed unless you remove the configuration from the device and reboot it.

A reboot will see the device boot up with the currently saved config (as is the case without PnP).

Geevarghese provided a link to my blog series with lots of useful information.
