Hi,

We are trying out UCCX Lab. Our purpose is to display Finesse info in Atlassian Confluence. It allows to register external gadgets in Confluence by providing the url of the gadget. For example, which is the valid url below or something else?

https://hq-uccx.abc.inc:8445/finesse/api/gadgets/TeamPerformance.jsp

https://hq-uccx.abc.inc:8445/desktop/gadgets/TeamPerformance.jsp

Thanks,

Linian

Hi Linian,

The valid URL is https://hq-uccx.abc.inc:8445/desktop/gadgets/TeamPerformance.jsp, but these gadgets weren't written to be used outside of the Finesse container, so I cannot confirm that it will work in Atlassian Confluence.

Thanx,

Denise

Denise,

Could you please clarify '...these gadgets weren't written to be used outside of the Finesse container': Do "these gadgets" include custom ones? Are all build-in gadgets not to be used outside of the Finesse container?

Thanks,

Linian

Hi Linian,

I can't say for custom gadgets as they are custom and I do not know how they were written, but any of the gadgets that are built into the Finesse desktop probably doesn't work outside the Finesse container. I am pretty sure the sample gadgets provided on DevNet doesn't work either. With that being said, I am not trying to prevent you from trying it. If it works, then great. I just want to warn you that there is a high chance it won't work.

Thanx,

Denise

Denise,  how to integrate Finesse with Confluence using Finesse API to display Finesse data in Confluence?

Hi Linian,

I've never used Confluence and have never done an integration with it, so I do not know. The Finesse APIs are just REST APIs.

Thanx,

Denise
