APIC-EM - Bulk import with IP-address, hostname and variables

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to deploy a number of new switches, and I've got APIC-EM up and running.

I've created a template where I use variables for hostname and IP-address, but in the bulk sample I see that there are no columns for ip-addresses or hostnames.

Is it possible to pass these variables to APIC-EM, so the template can use the IP-addresses and hostnames from the csv-file?

No, not in the current release.  It is planned.

You have reminded me that i was going to write a script to do this.

The script was going to take a CSV file and create the rules and fill in the template variables.  You would need to give it the name of the template.

Thanks for clearing that out, I will register the switches manually for now then.

A script for this would been great
