User Management in Webex for Auto Provisioning in G Suite

Hi,

I am a Developer on the G Suite Identity team. We are exploring adding you to our pre-integrated SAML applications list, and also add outbound user provisioning for Cisco Webex. Outbound user provisioning will enable our common customers to keep their G Suite directory in sync with the user list in in your application. User provisioning is very valuable to customers as it reduces the overhead in on-boarding and off-boarding their users.

To aid our evaluation of adding auto-provisioning to your application, can you help us with the following information:

  1. Do you have a REST API that we can use to build an application that will manage user / profiles in your application on behalf of common customers? FYI - We will be primarily focussed on creating, updating and deleting users. Assigning and managing licenses is something we plan to do in the future.

  1. We trust your REST API doc will cover the topic of authentication. If not, please do send us information on the different authentication and authorization models you support to allow third party applications to access / manage customer data.

  1. Are there any processes to be followed (legal agreements to be signed, security questionnaires to be answered, etc.) for us to offer the integration to our customers in Production? If yes, could you send me relevant material on the same?

  1. Are you working with any other Google team / people at the moment or have signed an agreement of some sort? If yes could you please share details of the same so we can connect internally?

Look forward to working with you and your team to build an integration delivering great experience to our customers.

Regards,

Amit

Amit,

Auto Provisioning new users and updating them is built into our SAML SSO Integration; there is no need to use the WebEx API’s to achieve those capabilities.

The WebEx XML API is documented here, incase you require additional management capabilities within your integration: https://developer.cisco.com/site/webex-developer/develop-test/xml-api/xml-api-reference/

We have a Gold Developer Program (GDP) that will get you access to your own test site on our beta test cluster, this will allow you to test your integration against the various WebEx products on the most bleeding edge release.

SSO and GDP are not handled by the WebEx API Development team; these are handled and supported by your WebEx customer service rep, if you don’t have one yet then simply reach out to WebEx Sales to get your account setup and questions addressed.
