hi,

i am new to cisco and would like to get some advice.

we are planning to purchase some new 2960x switches over internet from vendor A.

however we find vendor A, smartnet pricing is too high.

could we purchase from vendor B if the pricing is lower?

Do I need to wait until the delivery of the 2960x switches and provide the serial number to vendor B before I can purchase?

Steven,

You can purchase the SmartNet Total Care contract from the other vendor (B), but you will need to wait for the serial number of the device/s in order to purchase and associate the contract to the equipment.
