Cisco Jabber 11.8.4 Client, Meeting Button, CMR just enabled, issues

We recently enabled CMR for a big group of users within our org. The WebEx Meeting invites now included a video address that Cisco Jabber clients try to join with the Green button. Before, the default behavior was to go to WebEx within Browser or open Calendar invite.

Is there a way to disable Join via Video Address from Cisco Jabber and enable the previous behavior?  or for Cisco Jabber to ignore the video address exist?

Thanks,

Rich

Hey Rich, I think that is controlled by the following param in the Jabber config file

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/11_9/cjab_b_parameters-reference-guide-jabber/cjab_b_parameters-reference-guide-jabber_chapter_0100.html?bookSearch=true#CJAB_RF_C2BEDA3A_00

ConfMediaType

Applies to all clients.

Specifies how the client connects to meetings in Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms. For example, if you set the parameter to WebExOnly, and when users select Join in the Meetings Tab or on the Meeting invitation, they are connected to the conference using Cisco WebEx.

Specifies the conference invitation type for Cisco Collaboration Meeting Rooms.

  • BridgeOnly—The join button joins the conference using SIP.
  • WebExOnly—The join button joins the conference using Cisco WebEx.
  • Nothing defined—The join button joins the conference using SIP and the link joins the conference using Cisco WebEx.

Example: <ConfMediaType>WebExOnly</ConfMediaType>
