SX20 with Spark and Extron

Hello,

I plan to use Extron controller, which should control the SX20 with Spark activated on it, with the Room Integration feature.

As known in the Extron world, they create control drivers for each product, SW version of this product etc....

After contacting them in order to receive such a driver for that specific situation (SX20 with Spark on it) I've been told that they could not locate the API anywhere.

My question is : where could I get the API for that specific case in order to provide it to Extron in order to receive the control module?

Best Regards,

Alex.

That Specific document refers to CE rather than Spark.

Hey, sorry, overlooked that you are Spark-registered/ i.e. we are talking about Room OS...

So for Spark-registered devices, things are not so feature-rich :/ But will get better

Take a look at this doc here https://collaborationhelp.cisco.com/article/en-gb/n5pqqcm You have to use a special local user. The same doc has also nice links to the doc spaces for the different endpoints. What you also need is the API command reference here https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/endpoint/ce92/codec-sx20-api-reference-guide-ce92.pdf And in it you can see the following important note, which kind of give us an idea how to know if a certain feature is available

For Cisco Spark registered systems only a subset of the API is available, and the user role (integrator and roomcontrol) of the local user determines which commands are available.
