I am turning up an E1 in Australia. The circuit is currently connect to an Avaya g430 T1/E1 card and working. The provider is use a One700 SHDSL to ISDH converter by One Access. When it connect to One Access One700 PRI port the interface stops responding and throws an alarm.. My Interface on my NIM-2MFT-T1/E1 shows down. The logs show it up for about 15 seconds then down. I would like to know if there are any records of connecting to this type of device and what configuration I might be missing. Below are some of the details.

Hi,

what kind of alarm?

Use the following command to check the controller:

show controller e1

Need the following:

show controller e1

debug isdn q921

Questions generally to ask:

  • ISDN switch-type?  I assume you're primary-net5
  • Who's doing clocking?  99.999% provider, but I've had funnies before.
  • Framing - cyclical redundancy?
