stackwise difference - 3750\3560 vs 3850 vs 9300

Hi folks,

I was going through the stackwise feature of different models and found intriguing differences between  the 4 models i know support stacking while going through links below :-

1) 3750 \ 3850 seems to support upto 9 switch in stack but 9300 supports only upto 8

why ?  my initial thaught was thats due to may be stackpower feature where 9 switch switch may be too much , but then 3850 support stackpower and also till 9 switch in stack.

2) The order and the attributes used to select master seems to differ . Example , whereas 3750\3560 seem to care about feature set like encrypted\non-encrypted images etc , 3850 and 9300 dont care about it. Another factor is in 3750\3560 , the switch up-time seems to be a factor where as in 3850\9300 the term used is shortest start-up time . Whats the differnce ?

Can someone in cisco or otherwise has something that can clear the air on as to what is going on with stackwise feature - sets ? what is cauing ther differences modelwise ?
