  • Hello everyone, we are currently working on an issue related to ACLs. We have two branches (site-to-site VPN) and sometimes we need to enable communication between two computers (each computer is in a different branch). We don't want to allow all communication, but we would like to limit the communication only to a port, for example only port 3389 for RDP, making an intranet website available from a computer to a server on port 80 or 443, etc. But the problem is that when we configure such a rule with a port limitation, the communication does not go through and packet capture shows VPN - encrypt - DROP. There's a mistake somewhere, but we can't figure out where. We are also not that experienced so any advice would be great. Below is an example of how an ACL is configured. In the second branch, the rule is set the same, only the source and destination are swapped. NAT is configured as well. When I set the destination port to ANY, everything works, so ACL and NAT seem ok.This looks like a port issue. Btw in the config below, the ICMP ping works, RDP does not (Wireshark shows repeated TCP Retransmission messages).Site A config: Site B config: Thank you for any input!

  • Hi All currently, I have PCCE version 12.6 running Windows version 2016 and SQL 2017 and want to plan an upgrade as the compatible matrix to Windows Server 2019 and SQL 2019.  the question is there a documentation step for upgrading OS and SQL in PCCE 12.6 or I can direct upgrade in the same VM like the upgrade step from PCCE 11.6 to 12.0 (this step has upgraded OS and SQL also from 2012 to 2016) if anyone has some experience or has documentation please let me know in this discussion.

We cannot access it using admin-admin but only cisco-cisco. it look like that line 1 is already registered to a voip provider (strange for a brand new ATA). we can try differents factory reset with success, but after a few minutes the ATA is locked again and register with that unknow voip provider.Anybody knows how to unlock that ATA for good so we can use it on FreePhoneLineThanksLouis

  • Hello, I am struggling to use MACSEC to transmit encrypted ethernet frames using the PSK strategy. My configuration is that I would like to send information from Device A through a Cisco Catalyst 9300 enabled with MACSEC to Device B, by creating a pairwise connection between Devices A and b and the switch.What I am able to do is complete the MKA process (or so I think) between each pair, indicated by one device being successfully selected as Key Server, and both devices sending packets which Wireshark labels as having a "MACSEC SAK Use" and defining an SAK. Then, I am able to send MACSEC traffic which has no confidentiality offset (no offset, not 0 offset), which to my knowledge just means it is not confidential / i.e. not encrypted. This sends correctly, and the switch is able to forward it to the proper destination (just by looking at the MAC address as expected). However, when I try to send MACSEC traffic with a confidentiality offset of 0 (meaning that the payload of the frame will be traditionally encrypted), it doesn't get received on the other device, and I don't know why.Can someone with knowledge (or who has done it before in any way) give me the exact parameters which need to be setup to enable this? Is there some obscure setting to enable the MACSEC decryption/encryption ability?In addition, is my understanding of this scenario wrong at all: Device A will send an encrypted MACSEC frame to the Cisco Catalyst, the Catalyst will decrypt this according to the SAK with Device A, then the switch will forward this frame to Device B, but will encrypt according to the SAK with Device B so that B can receive it and decrypt with its own SAK.

  • Hello,I have a Cisco C9120AX Access Point and I would like to activate the FIPS mode.I have not seen any menu for that on the web page of the Access point, and not found the wanted command on the serial interface (I guess it is possible at least by this interface ?) I only seen on the AP dashboard that the FIPS mode is disabled actually.Firmware is 16.12.04a (not the latest I think), but if possible I would like to keep this one to avoid any other issues/modifications/setup to redo etc.Thanks for any information!Regards,J.   • Good morning. We're trying to reset this device from scratch by removing the existing VMware EXSI we deployed recently. Until recently, the GUI froze all of a sudden; as a result, we rebooted the server. While it was rebooting, VMware EXSI reached a fatal error:15. After 5 minutes, the server will reboot itself. I've hit F8 to set a CMIC factory default, reconfigured the CIMC IPv4 address along with the subnet mask and default gateway--and assigned the respective VLAN hoping it was going to prompt me up immediately to the CMIC Gui web GUI nothing---it'll boot straight to the VMware EXSI. Are there ANY procedures to reset everything from scratch as if we've opened this server fresh out of the box? Some help would be very appreciative. Thank you.
