Dear all,

we announced several exciting products & innovations in WebexOne last week (Oct 24-26 2023)

There are numerous blogs and resources related to new announcements:
What's new (fall release)
WebexOne Launch presentation (for partners)
AI Strategy & Major Announcements   ️ Collaboration Devices
AppleTV 4K and Apple Watch               B&O Cisco 950 Earbuds
plus if anyone is interested, Webex One keynotes and breakout sessions are available on demand.

BUT, in this short article, I would like to take a moment and highlight the announcements that are related to Webex Calling solution.

1) industry first Webex AI Codec (optimum quality with ultra-low bandwidth) (coming soon)

The new AI Audio Codec delivers crystal-clear, uninterrupted audio even in poor network conditions, requiring 16X less bandwidth than the industry standard codec. Plus, it eliminates packet loss and audio choppiness by applying generative AI to reconstruct lost audio.

2) Introducing Customer Experience Esssentials for Webex Calling (coming soon)

Before describing Customer Experience Essentials offering, please note that existing Group Call Management (GCM) capabilities of Webex Calling is renamed to Customer Experience Basic (for ones that don't know GCM, is an embedded/free capability of Webex Calling that offers advanced call queuing capabilities- for more details, please check here)
Now newly introduced Customer Experience Essentials adds another level (this is a paid addon of Webex Calling solution) offering the features of Customer Experience Basic(GCM) plus agent screen pops, intelligent routing, supervisor enhanced experience, enhanced analytics and omnichannel (expected).
Of course, if customers need more advanced contact center features, then Webex Contact Center (Customer Experience Standard and Premium) is the way forward.

3) New Webex Attendant Console for Webex Calling (coming soon)

Our new Webex Attendant Console provides these users with a powerful interface to easily manage a high volume of incoming calls. It’s a modern, intuitive replacement for Receptionist Client that will increase the productivity of users and enhance the customer experience. This is a paid addon.

4) New HD voice for Webex Calling (coming soon)

HD Voice is an industry-first, AI-powered feature that makes every conversation easier to hear by eliminating background noise and reconstructing the wideband audio speech spectrum on calls over the PSTN. Webex Calling users can turn on HD Voice to improve the audio on the external caller’s side of the call – an essential feature for customer experience agents.

5) Various enhancements on calling integration with Microsoft Teams (available now)

Our calling integration with Microsoft Teams is continuously evolving!
Recent additions:
a) bi-directional presence
b) multi-call window (selecting lines, multicall experience, sign in call queues, etc.)

6) AI Assistant for Control Hub (coming soon)

Get the most out of Webex with AI Assistant for Control Hub. Increase IT productivity with quick answers to “how do I...?” and make lightning-fast configuration changes by simply asking “Help me do...”.
In WebexOne keynote (16:45-24:05)  an impressive demo was showed. Although the example was for a Webex Meetings scenario, I think is worth seeing it to understand the power of this feature.
