I am getting this error in Global Error Log

There has been an error with the http session: a request was made due to an event caught in the root document that refers to a session that has already ended. URI: /CVP/Server

And error log shows error.badfetch. at the subdialog return element.

Please advise what causes this error.

Is this an intermmitten error? Isn’t a badfetch a network error? You may want to open a TAC case to have CVP TAC give you feedback on the Global error.

Hi Dave,

He should open a TAC case - but it is a consistent error - here's the reason it occurs.

The cause is that when invoking one VXML Server application from another using the SubdialogInvoke element, if the invoked app doesn't exist (or some other error with the invoked app)  then the call errors back to ICM with error_code 10, but VXML Server doesn't free the license. The license is hung for the duration of the SessionTimeout timer (default 30min) and one sees the error listed in the GlobalError log. I assume it's a bug that Cisco could fix.

This bug has existed since Subdialog Invoke came out in CVP7 (or CVP4?) and still hasn't been addressed. I can't open TAC cases, so I can't report it. Maybe you can.

Thanks, Janine

Janine,

This particular error can also happen if there is java end on class that is executing and somehow does not come back before the vxml fecthtimeout.

Hi

We got it resolved this is because it is trying to play wav file, but its not finding in the path so it is giving badfetch error .
