Want to get the device type of a agent phone

Hi,

I am writing a sample client application to receive events from Cisco phone. I want to know the device type(Hard phone or Soft phone) of that Cisco phone to enable some options in my UI. Could anyone please explain me about how to find the device type?

I'm referring TAPI developers guide document to write this application.

   I think if you know the phone name, you can use AXL to get the phone type. Please refer the following urls for related information.
