Upgrade cluster with two node

Hello,

I just want a clarification regarding the upgrade of ESA in a cluster environnement.

We have 2 C370 in cluster. Here's my action plan

Connect on Appliance1

Suspend Listener 

Disconnecte Appliance1 from cluster

Upgrade & Reboot

resume listener on Appliance1

Suspend listerner on Appliance2

Disconnect Appliance2 from cluster ( At this point no appliance are member of the cluster. Can you confirm me that it will not cause issue ?)

Upgrade & Reboot

Reconnect both appliance to the cluster.

As we have only 2 node is it necessary to disconnect the second appliance from the cluster ?

And is it a problem to let a cluster configuration without members ?

Both boxes are still members of the cluster, they just aren't talking/taking orders from the cluster. It doesn't cause any issues if you disconnect both. You just need to not make any config changes.
