Hello community,

I plan to renew my Network (data only!).

My intention was to migrate to 3850 family.

Now I must read that family Catalyst 3850 will be superseded by family 9300.

- When will it be superseded? Is there a roadmap for EOS/EOL for 3850?

- Can you please tell me SKU Types for 3850-12XS-E, 3850-24XS-E and 3850-24T-E(in StackWise AND StackPower Cabling)? for 9300?

- Can 3850s and 9300s be stacked together(StackWise AND StackPower Cabling) ?

- Is it planned to release more types of 9300s? When ?

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Martin

Gino:CAT9300 is the next gen. for CAT 3850.  There are currently no plans to EOS/EOL atleast for the next 2 or 3 years.

- Can you please tell me SKU Types for 3850-12XS-E, 3850-24XS-E and 3850-24T-E(in StackWise AND StackPower Cabling)? for 9300?

Gino:CAT9300 has built in module for stackwise, all the CAT9300 SKUs are listed in the datasheet.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-9300-series-switches/datasheet-c78-738977.html

The datasheet is in the process of being updated. The new SKU numbers that are currently not in it are.

C9300-48UXM-E

C9300-48UXM-A

- Can 3850s and 9300s be stacked together(StackWise AND StackPower Cabling) ?

Gino:  Mix and match is not allowed for stacking.

- Is it planned to release more types of 9300s? When ?

Gino:  There is always the possibility of new SKUs depending on our customer and industry needs.  Currently all the SKUs that we have FCSed are listed in the datasheet.

Hope this helps..Gino
