We currently have Cisco 2960 and 3750 switches. Do these switches support REP for ring network? If they don't how do I design a network that provides fault tolerance for a network that has one central location with 12 remote buidings. They currently on a 3COM ring network. The requirement is one location can be down but does not take down the whole network.
Thanks,

REP is not available on the 2960 or 3750 platforms.
To figure out what features are available to you, I recommend the Cisco Feature Navigator tool:
On the 2960 and 3750 you'd be using STP, RSTP or MST. All of these protocols will detect a loop and block it, and in the event of a network failure somewhere else in the network this blocked interface will automatically come online to restore service.

Paul,
I have verified that the 2960 and 3750 switches do not support REP using the tool. That's all I need at this time.
