please share your opinion on introducing 3048 as layer three device where we have cisco catalyst layer 2 switches (2960 G)
are there are known issues with NX OS and IOS ?
i am also struggling hard on getting the list of models available for nexus 3048 ( in terms of purchasing options). dealer said there are around 12 different options. can some one list those for me
i am also thinking of introducing ISR 39453 as a hardware firewall on my edge and also for getting started with unified communications
is that a good choice ?
Thank you for your responses

Hi Dhruva,
I understand your decision on the Facebook account. And, I'm still pursuing an answer for you.
In the meantime, the Cisco Support Community has a non-Facebook interface if you'd like to give that a try:

Hi Dhruva,
We have a partial answer for your questions. Is that what you were looking for?
N3048 has rich Layer-3 support that includes advanced routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP & BGP. It works in conjunction with other Catalyst or Nexus devices in the data center. We haven’t encountered any serious interop issues with catalysts. The known issues are posted on the release notes - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus3000/sw/release/503_U2_2/n3k_rel_notes_503_u2_2.html
The PID to order is N3K-C3048TP-1GE.
