Unity connection domain name

Hi

In fresh unity connaction cluster i insert a domain name from ssh and now i like to delete it from the system.
In cisco doc say how to change it but no delete
Can someone help to resolve this

Hi Sharon,

In order for the domain name to take effect, you need to have a primary DNS server also added (set network dns primary ).

If you wish to change the domain name, it will be the same command you used to enable in the 1st go ).

If you wish to delete the domain name, then you must delete the DNS server IP address (Primary and Secondary if both are configured) in order for the domain name entry to get removed. Hence there is no command as such to remove the domain name since having a domain name without a DNS or vice versa wont make much sense.

Sharon,

Like I mentioned, you need to delete the DNS IP from the system, not the domain. Command to delete DNS is:

delete dns

You can then validate that domain is also removed by running "show network eth0 detail".
