Perpetual and Fast POE in Cisco Catalyst Switches

Hello,

I am currently experiencing a problem with enabling perpetual and fast POE on a Cisco 9300 (17.9.4a) lab switch. Despite having both features enabled, POE devices like the Aruba 555 AP, Avaya VOIP phone, and IOT sensor remain powered on during a soft reload of the switch.

However, once the IOS boots up and reaches a certain level where the message "FIPS: Flash Key Check: Key Not Found, FIPS Mode Not Enabled" is displayed, the POE devices automatically reload.

I am seeking the assistance of this community to help resolve this issue. Any expertise or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Try upgrading to 17.12.3.

Despite upgrading to 17.12.3, the issue remains unresolved.

After upgrading the C9300-48UXM to version 17.14.1, I have observed a new behavior where the POE devices remain powered on until the message "Press RETURN to get started!" appears on the screen. Only after this message appears, the devices go through a reboot process once again.

Any insights or recommendations you can share would be of great value.
